The Wooters Family - A Year in Review

Merry Christmas everyone!  2011 has definitely been our family's most exciting and blessed year yet!

Andrew applied for and was accepted into the Doctoral program at TWU's school of Physical Therapy. In preparation he put his heart and soul into studying for the GRE, and did great!  He also continued working at two PT clinics, which he loved.  Andrew started his DPT program in August, and has just finished his first semester of grad school!  He loves the program - his favorite class was his anatomy lab where he got to work with cadavers. (Not my cup of tea, but he loved it.) He gets to end the calendar year with a month-long winter break and a trip to see BYU play in the Armed Forces Bowl in Dallas with his brothers and dad.

Kristin (that's me) started the year off with lots of anticipation for the new baby. I was working at Sundesa (AKA The Blender Bottle company), and loving it.  In April, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  She came almost two weeks early, and was as perfect as can be. In June, our family moved to Texas so that Andrew could attend TWU. For our family vacation this summer, we traveled with Andrew's parents from Houston to Atlanta, to Orlando, to NYC and back home again. That was lots of fun!  I was also blessed to visit Chicago for a few days this summer, and was so thrilled to see family and friends. In November, we all traveled to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with Andrew's extended family.  What a blessing our families are to us.  We love them very much. I spend my days taking care of Kaitlyn at home. I am loving the Houston weather and I am enjoying being a mother.  In my free time I like to do crafts, blog, read, and go on walks through the greenbelts with Kaitlyn. I'm looking forward to another Chicago trip this January!

Kaitlyn has had quite the year!  Most of my blog is centered around her, so you can read about her accomplishments in my other posts.  She loves to play with friends and with her cousins.  Her cousins here are all boys, and she has no problem showing them who's boss.  She likes to chase them around the house (with help from mom or dad of course). It makes her laugh and squeal!  She eats everything she can get her little fingers on, and she is currently working on cruising around on the furniture.  We're guessing that by February, she'll be starting to learn how to walk.  She has just gotten her fourth tooth and has two more on the way.  She is the joy and sunshine in our lives and keeps us smiling every day!

We are so grateful for all of our friends and family who love and support us so much.  We miss those who are far from us now, and hope to see you as often as possible.  We hope that this Christmas season brings the spirit of Jesus Christ into your homes and your hearts.  Christmas reminds us what is important to us - family, friends, service, giving, and most of all, our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Our prayer is that all of us can keep him in our hearts now, and all throughout the year.

Merry Christmas,
The Wooters Family
