Well this summer has been quite eventful with lots of exciting events and trips. During the last two and a half weeks, we went on the much anticipated trip up the east coast. Our first stop was Atlanta Georgia, where we visited our Great Uncle Wally and Aunt Ruth Ann. They were so sweet to us. We went to the Coca-Cola factory and the country's largest aquarium. Also, Wally and Ruth Ann have the most beautiful front porch in the entire world. They saw it on the cover of a Country Living Magazine, and had it built for them. Someday, I will have this porch on the front of my house.

So, we left Atlanta and headed for Orlando. Disney World was so much fun! (and a bit of a challenge) Kaitlyn actually did very well considering how hot it was and how young she is. For any moms headed to Disney World, here's a little tip. Each park has a Child Care facility. You can cool down, nurse in a private area, let little ones play or watch movies inside, and even buy baby necessities (not that they're reasonably priced, but common - it IS Disney, right?). These care centers were heaven sent. There were a few times when Kaitlyn (and I) had just had it, and were ready to take a break. It was lovely. It was fun to take her one some of the rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, African Safari, and such. Also, it was great to get the rider swap tickets which allowed one person to wait with the baby while the other people in your group got on the ride. Then, when they got off, the person waiting would hand the baby off to someone in the group and then go ride the ride with 2 other people without waiting in line! it was pretty sweet. Especially when we already had fast passes. Here are some of my favorite pics from Disney...

Riding on the tram from park to park.

Eating lunch at Japan in Epcot.

Staying cool in the shade with mama's sun glasses on.

My fist Disney parade!

African Safari at Animal Kingdom. Kaitlyn slept through the entire thing.

It's tough to be a Bug (Bugs Life ride).

Animal Kingdom

This is at the Lion King show. Kaitlyn really loved it.....

....until she fell asleep. The ironic thing is that during the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" I looked down, and sure enough, our little lion cub was sleeping. :)

This is by far my favorite picture of the trip!

Magic Kingdom

Epcot

Kaitlyn's favorite part of the trip, Dad's arm.

Andrew surprised me with Dinner at a fancy restaurant in Epcot. It's called Les Chef's. Very very delicious and very spontaneous and romantic on Andrew's part. Grandma and Grandpa even babysat for us!
After Disney, we traveled to New Jersey to attend the sealing of Andrew's cousin to her husband. It was a beautiful ceremony. Here's the happy couple at the luncheon we had afterwords.

We also got to hang out with Stuart, Ashley and Harrison. Here's a picture of Harrison and Kaitlyn. He is 4 months older than Kaitlyn.

That day, we wondered around Manhattan and got Cross Bronx Pizza for dinner. For those of you who don't know, Cross Bronx Pizza is huge! It was a favorite from Andrew's mission.

Happy Baby! (Despite the 100 degree weather
.)

Rockefeller Center

Cross Bronx Pizza. I couldn't even finish the whole slice!
On the way home to TX, we stopped in Hershey, PA at Chocolate World! YUMMM!! The trip was great, and Kaitlyn was awesome!
